Which extension is best for my hair?

A Series on Finding the Perfect Hair:

Which extension is best for my hair? Good question girl! You have a couple to choose from so the task might seem daunting at first. But hopefully after some simple details you’ll feel more confident choosing and taking that exciting step towards thicker and longer hair. Time to dream big!

Today I’m going to specifically cover the techniques that I myself work with. I work with Bellami hair, they have been my trusty provider for a year now supplying us with 100% Human remy hair.  Starting with my personal favorite we have: The volume weft, second and quite similar we have the hand-tied weft. Thirdly we have our tape-in method, and lastly the k-tip or keratin tip. There are more techniques than these four, but within these four types I have achieved the desired results my clients have been looking for.

For today's blog I want to focus mainly on the volume weft. As I mentioned before, the volume weft is a favorite of mine.  A volume weft is composed of three thin layers of hair stacked together and then securely machine sewn into one. These machine sewn wefts are very durable. Which is another reason why they're my favorite. They hold up especially well, we know we put our hair through a lot. And this investment needs to make it through with us!

You might be wondering who is the best candidate for this technique? Unfortunately my very fine haired girlys might not like this answer. Because the volume weft, even as dainty as they can make it, is still too thick.  And more so probably too heavy for your fine hair to hold. The best candidate for this weft would be someone with medium to thin hair looking for more volume, and length. Don't worry if the volume weft isn't for you, there are other options. That's where my trusty hand-tied or even k-tip comes into play.

How do volume wefts stay in you might ask? Volume wefts are discreetly sewn in. Yes WE GET TO SEW! With a real needle. But don't worry, no pain involved!  Your single pack of a volume weft gets cut, measured, and fitted to align perfectly to your head.  Typically there are three rows, two longer and one shorter for your standard transformation. Your weft gets securely sewn in those beads that are uniformly placed in rows. Your wefts then grow out with your natural hair. And then 4-6 weeks later it's as easy as moving your beads up and your back to where you started. Easy right?

It doesn't stop there, volume wefts allow for versatile styling methods, with some simple maneuvering you can still achieve pulling your hair the whole way up. Whether it's a ponytail, bun, or keep it classy half-up kind of day the options are endless. Time to see if volume wefts are for you. What's holding you back from your dream hair? Invest in yourself, you wont regret it. Buy the hair it's yours forever!

I’ll be covering more details about our other extensions in the future so stay tuned!
